Through carefully developed publications, contributor relationships, and editorial stewardship, Mariner House Press provides a professional home for works that elevate maritime voices — from seasoned captains and historians to restoration craftspeople, sail-training instructors, and the young sailors who carry the tradition forward.

Our Purpose

Why Mariner House Press Exists

Much of the maritime world is rightly built on history. Ships, crews, ports, and traditions all carry stories worth preserving. Yet heritage cannot survive on memory alone. It must be taught, practiced, restored, questioned, and carried forward by people willing to do the work.

Many maritime publications focus heavily on the past, and that history matters deeply. But there is also a clear need for a platform that takes the future just as seriously — one that covers the people restoring ships, leading training programs, charting new courses for sail education, and doing the hard work of keeping tall ship culture alive.

Mariner House Press was created to give those stories a professional home.
